Key Features:

• Vaughan 999 (10500) 20 oz rip hammer, smooth face, on a 14" white hickory handle
• Straight rip claw with a deep throat, octagon neck and extra steel behind the striking face
• 6" head with a 1-1/4" face, finished in rust-resistant powder coat
• Triple-wedged hickory handle, replaceable with Vaughan handle 61202
• Weighs 1.65 lbs overall; made in the USA

Benefits:

• A smooth face leaves no mill marks, so the same hammer works on framing and on finish nailing
• Extra steel behind the face and swept rip claws suit framing, prying and demolition
• Hickory absorbs strike shock better than a solid steel handle over a full day of nailing
• A replaceable handle means a broken haft is a cheap repair rather than a new hammer
• Powder coat keeps the head from surface rusting in a damp bag or truck
