Key Features:

• OshKosh 1055 heavy tamp bar with an 8 ft wood handle
• Heavy pattern with a thicker steel boot than the light tamp bar
• Shares the same handle design as the light tamp bar in the same series
• Straight tamping boot for compacting backfill in post and pole holes
• 8 ft length, one of the 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 ft handle options in the line

Benefits:

• The heavier steel boot puts more mass behind each stroke, compacting backfill in fewer passes
• The 8 ft handle reaches the bottom of a standard pole hole without leaning into the excavation
• A wood handle absorbs more of the strike shock than a solid steel bar over a long tamping session
• Same handle as the light bar, so a crew running both bars keeps a consistent feel and grip
• Straight boot compacts the full hole bottom rather than only the center
