Key Features:

• 7 x 9 inch catch pad for wiping joints in lead-covered cable sheath
• Woven cotton finished with tallow and soap-stone dressings
• Intended for wiped lead joint work and lead sheath repair
• Wool felt insert is sold separately
• Carries a California Proposition 65 warning for cancer and reproductive harm

Benefits:

• The 7 x 9 inch face gives enough material to catch and carry lead on larger wiped joints
• The tallow and soap-stone dressing is what lets the pad shape hot lead rather than stick to it
• Woven cotton construction keeps the pad to the traditional material splicers expect for this work
• Buying the insert separately means you can replace the felt as it compresses instead of replacing the whole pad
• The published Prop 65 warning lets you pass the required hazard information through to the crew
