Key Features:

• Razor-Back / Ames 47117 drain spade with a 16" long, 6" wide blade
• 14-gauge coated steel blade with a closed back
• 48" wood handle with a 9" socket
• Forward turned step for foot placement
• 4.43 lb; limited lifetime warranty

Benefits:

• The long narrow blade cuts and cleans trenches that a round point shovel will not fit into
• A closed back keeps soil from packing into the blade, so each throw actually clears
• The forward turned step gives a boot a solid platform for driving the blade into hard ground
• The 9" socket spreads the load where handles usually snap on a drain spade
• Under 4-1/2 lb, so it stays workable through a long day of hand trenching
