Cantilever Wire Shelves are supported by two, 1"diameter posts, attached in the back only. This creates more space underneath without metal uprights blocking the corners of the shelf.

I recently assembled a small wired shelf stand in our kitchen to store some frequently used appliances I previously kept in our back room, heavy things.
