Klein Tools

Klein Tools has made hand tools for electricians and linemen since 1857, and it is still the only major American tool manufacturer that works almost exclusively in that space. The consequence shows up in the details of the catalog: plier patterns that exist because a particular wire needs twisting, strippers laid out for the gauges an electrician actually meets, and a 1000V insulated range that is tested rather than simply coated. Most of the line is still made in the United States.

What we stock is the working core of the range. Klein pliers cover lineman's, long nose, diagonal cutting, tongue-and-groove and the fencing and crimping patterns; the 2000 series lineman's pliers remains the default tool on most utility trucks. Screwdrivers and nut drivers come in cushion-grip, cabinet-tip and insulated versions, with multi-bit drivers where a pouch has to stay light. Wire strippers, cable cutters and crimping tools handle terminations from small-gauge control wiring up to service conductor. The insulated range carries the 1000V rating for work near energized parts, and the canvas buckets, bags and aerial aprons give all of it somewhere to live.
