Okay, before you get too upset about that title, we’re sure your kitchen looks spotless and is decorated perfectly - but let’s face it, there’s some parts of the kitchen that always seem to need a little reorganizing, right?
So if you find yourself constantly decluttering the same three things in your kitchen, now might be the perfect time to spring into action! We’ve got a few tips here to help declutter the most commonly be-cluttered areas of your kitchen, and (hopefully) reduce the amount of time you have to spend repeatedly cleaning each of them!
Underneath The Sink
Go ahead, take a look under the sink - how many of these half-filled soap bottles and mostly-used sponges do you really still need? The cabinets underneath the sink are usually a prime candidate for a good purging, so don’t be afraid to take that mostly-empty cleaning product and toss it aside. For everything you do have to keep, like trash bags and soap you actually need, you can easily repurpose sliding organizer shelves to fit underneath the sink to hold onto items like these in an easy-to-access and much more organized way!
Pantries
No matter what you do or how hard you clean it out, doesn’t it always feel like your pantries and cabinets are constantly full to bursting? Of course, much of this is because it’s full of ingredients you’ll need later, or food designed to be stored for a good long while like canned goods or pasta. The best thing to do to combat this is to come up with a food filing system: organize everything by ingredient type, packaging size, or whatever it is that will help you remember where it is and keep it that way. If you need a hand with this, kitchen cabinet organizers can help open up the available space and allow you to categorize everything more easily!
The Fridge
We all knew it was gonna happen, and there’s no sense trying to put it off further - it’s always a good idea to clean your fridge out. Toss the leftovers, get rid of that milk before it spoils even further, and don’t be afraid to let go of some of your older tupperware containers if they’ve gotten...a little funky. And you know what else helps a ton, and seems obvious in hindsight? Try to use all the drawers for the things they’re designed for! You’ll have a much easier time cleaning the fridge out if the lettuce is actually in the lettuce drawer and the cheese is actually in the cheese drawer.
Look on the bright side - if you do a good job organizing everything you really shouldn’t have to do it again anytime soon!
