After reading the other reviews for these shelves, I purchased four of the 36" models and they worked perfectly!  The mounting board has the right number and placement of holes to allow you to center your shelves the way you want to. I mounted mine to studs on the wall using the screws provided and this worked out very well.  Personally I would not use drywall bolts of any kind and if they did not align perfectly, I was prepared to drill my own mounting holes if I needed to.  These shelves are easy to install and look great.
