Increase your vertical storage space by stacking two wire shelving units or easily add height to your existing unit with this plug and bolt. Simply remove the black post caps on your existing posts, insert the splice connector, then remove the leveling feet and screw the bolt into the post. Put the post with the bolt end into the post with the splice top and push in securely (this last step may require a mallet).

Note: To make our Post Extension Starter Kit compatible with other brands of shelving, an extra 4 plugs are needed for the new posts to match our threading.

Assembly Info
  • Replace the black plastic post cap with the metal plugs
    • A rubber mallet is recommended in order to secure the plug in place
  • Screw the threaded bolt about halfway into the plug
  • Screw the top post into place and repeat the process for the remaining posts

Note: Will add another 1/4" to the overall height of your unit on SI brand posts or 1/2" with other brands.
