Recently I created a pantry for my small apartment. After getting wire shelving, it became pretty clear that the best use of them was to get the shelf liners. Once you put the liners on your shelves, you won't ever do without them! The liners allow you to put anything you want on the shelves without things, like legs of small appliances, from falling through the spaces on the shelves and therefore, unbalancing anything you put on them. I have liners on every shelf of my shelving units.
